Blepharoplasty
What is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, fat, and sagging from the eyelids, restoring a youthful, refreshed, and alert appearance. Over time, eyelid skin loses elasticity, leading to drooping eyelids, under-eye bags, and in some cases, impaired vision.
At TOPS, we use advanced techniques for natural-looking results that preserve your facial expression.

Recovery Time
- First few days: Mild swelling/bruising. Rest and cold compresses recommended.
- Week 1: Sutures removed; swelling begins to subside.
- 2–4 weeks: Results become more visible; eyes appear rejuvenated.
- 3 months: Final results (complete healing).
It is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure and the use of contact lenses during the first few weeks.

Benefits at TOPS

How is the procedure performed?
1. Upper Blepharoplasty
Indicated to correct excess skin and fat in the upper eyelids, eliminating the appearance of a tired look.
An incision is made in the natural crease of the eyelid, making the scar virtually unnoticeable.
Excess skin and fat are removed.
Tissues are repositioned to achieve a natural result.
2. Lower Blepharoplasty
Designed to treat under-eye bags, sagging, and the aged appearance of the lower eyelid.
It can be performed through a subciliary incision (just below the lash line) or a transconjunctival approach (inside the eyelid, leaving no visible scar).
Fat is either removed or redistributed to smooth the area and prevent a hollowed look.
In some cases, it is combined with rejuvenation treatments such as laser or hyaluronic acid to improve skin texture.
3. Combination Blepharoplasty
It is the combination of upper and lower blepharoplasty in a single procedure for a complete eye-area rejuvenation.
Procedure duration:
1 to 2 hours, depending on the type of blepharoplasty.
It is typically performed under local anesthesia with sedation.
