Chin Liposuction (Submental Liposuction)
What is Chin Liposuction?
Malar Surgery
Malar surgery, also known as cheekbone augmentation or reduction, is a surgical procedure aimed at modifying the projection and shape of the malar bones (cheekbones), achieving a more harmonious, defined, and youthful facial appearance.
The cheekbones are one of the key structures in facial aesthetics, as they provide volume, contour, and balance. When they are under-projected or disproportionate to the rest of the face, they can create a flat or aged look. Malar surgery enhances or reduces this area according to the patient’s needs.
Chin Surgery (Mentoplasty)
The chin plays a fundamental role in facial proportion, especially in the profile view. When it is too prominent or too recessed, it can create an imbalance with other features such as the nose or neck. Mentoplasty corrects these disproportions, improving both aesthetics and, in some cases, functionality.

How is the procedure performed?
The procedure is performed through a small incision under the chin, through which a microcannula is inserted to precisely suction out excess fat.
In some cases, the following technologies are used:
Power-assisted liposuction (MicroAire): allows for more controlled fat removal.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (Vaser): helps break down localized fat and promotes skin tightening.
Procedure duration: between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
Type of anesthesia: local with sedation. This is an outpatient procedure.
